MomentUS

Every year, D&AD hosts the New Blood Awards, a competition for young creatives to create projects in response to actual prompts by major companies. Along with my friend Alejandro Corral, we answered the prompt from Universal Music: Create a festival event poster and visual suite for people who work at Universal Music.

Festival Poster

Universal Music holds a special concert for their employees every year, titled "UMusic," but stated in their brief that they were open to new names. The name we came up with was "MomentUs," signifying the shared moment between all those who would attend the concert, but also alluding to the momentous occasion that this event would be.

The deliverables we provided for this project were a festival promotional poster, an email invitation to be sent to Universal Music UK staff, a new exclusive typeface, and mockups of merchandise.

To make this event feel special, we designed a new typeface we named: "MomentUs Occasion." This typeface was created to be very fluid and modular. Paired with this decorative font was Niveau Grotesk, a geometric sans serif font designed by Hannes von Döhren of HvD Fonts.
